  • Character Design – Azura
Azura is a villain that was made to be part of a superhero trading card game. Character information needed to be organized and formatted to be easily understood for those writing anthologies. For Azura, I designed everything about her to complement and give contrast to one of the heroes, created by another team member.
  • Fire Spells
While working on the game Shattered Earth, spells were needed for players to use during this tabletop game. Each spell correlated with an element and color. It was necessary to create magic that made sense for each category, as well as worked in the game.
  • Game Design: Lunaʼs Quest
This game design document was one that I made for a game I was creating. The ideas and characters for Luna’s Quest are based off of characters from my book, Wolves of Noble.
  • Game Trailer Video – Anchorage
As part of the design/writing team I helped develop the overall concept. I worked on level design, as far as what it physically looks like, the collectable items and how it all relates to the overall story. Click to view more info and watch the game’s trailer video shown at PAX-East 2020 in Boston.
  • Gameplay Video – Luna’s Quest
Luna’s Quest is a single player game about a wolf trying survive as they make their way to the pack. Players must avoid bears and more importantly, they must avoid the ever-present Spear Snake which chases them through the forest.
  • Level Design – Ocean Level
This document describes what the level physically should look like in the game, why that is, and narration for the NPC guiding the player. I created this level and the narration to fit in with the overall story of a man suffering from PTSD after a near death experience. The narrator is the non-playable psychologist trying to help the suffering man. The way the man perceives the doctor (good/neutral/evil) is based off of how well the player is doing.
  • Neutral Entity Dialog
The neutral entity dialogue was written to be voice-acted, used when the player had an average (neutral) score. I had to work on keeping the doctor’s voice consistent and make sure that it could flow between the good and bad dialogue as the player improved or got worse. I also worked on keeping the voice more neutral/passive aggressive rather than straight up rude or too high praising and out of character.
  • World Concept: The Tequi
This is a concept for a world and the people living on an island within that world. The people, the Tequi, live on Wendega’s Island and the document below explains how their society functions.
